2024 Healthiest State Annual Award Winners Announced

Workplaces, schools, early care providers, health care sites, individuals, and youth honored.

DES MOINES, IA (October 25, 2024) — The Healthiest State Initiative has announced the winners of the 2024 Healthiest State Annual Awards. The winners were recognized at ceremonies at the Workplace Wellbeing Conference in April and the 5-2-1-0 Healthy Choices Count! Summit in October for their efforts to improve the physical, social and emotional well-being of their students, employees and fellow Iowans. The winners in the 9 categories are:

“It is our honor to recognize our winners with these well-deserved awards,” said Jami Haberl, Healthiest State Initiative executive director. “Their work to create environments that support healthy choices in their respective sectors is inspiring and crucial to ensure that every Iowan has the opportunity to live their healthiest life.”

Each winner was awarded a monetary prize for a project to continue their work focused on improving the health and wellbeing of their employees, students or fellow Iowans. The winner’s projects will be announced in 2025. The 2024 Healthiest State Annual Awards were sponsored by Holmes Murphy, Malvern Bank, HealthPartners UnityPoint Health, Iowa Medical Society, and Iowa Department of Health and Human Services.
